QCC Type 1 (G.9) refers to a standardized propane tank valve and connector (also known as QCC1 or LCC27) that features large external ACME threads.
Safety Shutoff: The QCC1 fitting has a built-in thermal safety device. If a hose melts or ruptures during a fire, the valve limits the gas flow to a slow trickle (about 10% of maximum flow).
Thermal Protection: If the temperature at the connection exceeds 240°F to 300°F (such as in a fire), the fitting automatically shuts off the gas supply completely.
